There is something different about see a film in a theatre on a big screen.
Sitting in the dark with strangers gives us permission to laugh out loud or cry.
When a movie is a group activity, it creates a sense of community.
So, if you would like to make new friends or just enjoy a great evening out, join us at the Historic Lions Lincoln Theatre in beautiful downtown Massillon, Ohio.
We’ll have a great classic film on the screen and we will be waiting to greet you at the “Friendliest Movie Theatre in America.”
How We Operate
Our historic theatre is operated by dedicated volunteers. Each brings us a lifetime of talent and dedication.
For a gift of $300.00, individuals and small companies sponsor a weekend of movies.
This pays the license fee to the film companies.
That means that every dollar that comes into the theatre goes toward the operations and continuing restoration a 94 year old building requires. 2015 will see the theatre celebrating her 100th Birthday. With your help we plan to make sure that she will be there for the party.
In 1982 more than $1,000,000.00 was needed to restore the damage years of neglect had caused.
That money was raised by the Massillon Lions Club.
Now we are asking for your help.
